i just have to ask, why in Twilight Edward and Bella are like all tense around each other and like don't seem like there made for each other?

Edward was afraid of killing Bella.

Bella thought Edward hated her.

Edward dosen't want to hurt Bella because when she's frail as a human.

They've only met recently, he's afraid that he won't be able to resist her blood and that he'd kill her, she's just learned that he's a vampire and she's a bit scared. Before then, she found the way he was behaving unfriendly.
